Building on what we seen last week in the hatred of the left for minorities who refuse to be locked up, Tuesday Reidout added trans people to this group as MSNBC host Joy Reid and Charlotte Clymer basked on Republican Caitlyn Jenner Running for Governor of California because, in their world, Jenner was a “hypocritical” and “Horrible person” who “Does not represent the trans community.”
And worse yet, she endorses a Republican party that “to sell[s] rage on current politics ” and thus makes it an example of a celebration that “The absolute worst.”
A well-known homophobic, Reid teased this withdrawal throughout the show, warning that she would take the “The Conservatives found some new cultural issues outraged” and there was “Stories told by fools full of noise and fury, meaning nothing.”
Talk about the irony coming from someone whose entire show has existed to make primary viewers hate those on the other side of the spectrum and the rage over how they are to blame for what plagues the country.
With that in mind, Reid began his daily segment “The Absolute Worst” with a cartoonish straw man the size of the tallest building in the world whose right is filled with racists who live in fear of blacks and whom their existence is derived from idiocy (click on “expand”):
The Republican Party looks very different from what it was just 12 years ago, but a distinct feature remains, this bubbling, mouth-watering Conservative rage led by a fledgling tea party movement enraged by the care of health and by health care – and by health care, I mean. , a black president. Fast forward to now, ObamaCare remains but the Tea Party, in many ways, got what it wanted, a far-right galvanized by fear of a black president. And of a future where white, cis, straight, Christian men are not the masters of the universe.
And this Tory scandal machine, you see it spinning every day on the House floor or in the comments of Tuckums and his friends at Fox News, because keeping their base angry is so much more important than governing, though the boogeyman is literally a child. Enter their latest obsession, young trans who threaten to take back fourth grade volleyball with a vengeance and by that I mean they’re not. It’s an imaginary crisis, the preferred genre of Republicans. But instead of red meat or plastic potatoes, this war has real consequences. Transgender girls, who already feel unsafe in school, now face an onslaught of state legislation aimed at them not participating in sports and the rationale for expelling these children from the school. ‘team? Caitlyn Jenner sums it up.
Reid then released a clip of Jenner saying that despite being a trans woman, “We must protect girls’ sport” because biological males competing in female sports “It’s just not fair.”
Instead of taking this opposite view, Reid got into yet another condescending crisis over how the California Republican “Don’t speak for the trans community.”
Reid’s proof? Well Jenner can’t be an adequate trans voice or office manager because “She’s a longtime Republican who is also a staunch supporter of Trump” and therefore someone who does not “Actually an acre on fairness in sports for girls, just as they don’t really care about unborn fetuses.” or “Affordable health care”.
“It is about forcing the other to exist in his shadow so that he can continue living in a country where his status is protected against everything else and that is why the GOP which sells rage against real politics is the absolute worst “, she added.
This was carried over in the last segment of the show. In a discussion of the supposed greatness of Project 1619, Reid lamented to Clymer that “Attacks by transgender children are sort of almost cut off against this need for Americans to feel heroic.” and feel good about themselves.
Similarly, Clymer said it was proof that the GOP “ran out of ideas” after Donald Trump killed half a million people with coronavirus and would go after transgender children instead . “Because most Americans don’t know much about trans people and trans health care, so they’re just – they’re bullying young trans kids.”
Clymer also made sure to play the race card, saying the GOP was racist and transphobic by always “Showing pictures of young black trans women in high school next to young white girls and cis white girls.”
Minutes later, Reid asked Clymer about Jenner who the trans activist criticized the former Olympian for as being too mean or stupid to know what’s good for her.
Based on Clymer’s use of labels “Hypocrite”, “hateful”, and “Phyllis Schlafly from the trans community”, we are going to look at the first one (click on “develop”):
REID: Caitlyn Jenner is a – is a weird figure because she was for Donald Trump, and he was, you know, a straight anti-trans president. And now she is running for governor and has now decided that she too is against trans girls playing sports.
CLYMER: That’s right.
REID: I don’t understand. In the community, what do people say and think about this?
CLYMER: Listen, every marginalized community has members who work against the equality of that community. It’s – you know, every community has it. For trans people, Caitlyn Jenner is the Phyllis Schlafly of the trans community. This is who she is. She has always worked against LGBTQ equality. She has always worked against our interests. So when we saw her throwing trans kids under the bus and directly attacking trans kids in this interview, we weren’t surprised. This is who she is. And by the way, she’s a hypocrite. Last year she told trans reporter Don Innes [sic] on her podcast that she had a problem with trans kids playing on teams that match their gender identities. Caitlyn Jenner played in women’s golf tournaments for god’s sake. It is someone who blazes. She’s a hypocrite, and – and she’s a hateful person who has no problem attacking trans people to build her brand.
Clearly impressed, Reid ended the show with this response: “Very well said.”
