President Joe Biden announced on Monday that the United States will be an “arsenal” for COVID-19 vaccines and share 20 million additional doses with the world while adding that the move is not intended to curry favor with other countries like China and Russia. .

“We will not use our vaccines to gain favor from other countries,” Biden said. The announcement marks the first time the United States will share doses of COVID approved for use within its own borders with other countries.
