Thanks, Captain Obvious! NBC realizes MLB move hurts black-owned Atlanta businesses

Posted on April 8, 2021 By yashar No Comments on Thanks, Captain Obvious! NBC realizes MLB move hurts black-owned Atlanta businesses

After a campaign disinformation completed the Georgia Voters Bill that helped pressure Major League Baseball (MLB) to move the All-Star Game from Atlanta to Denver, Colorado on Wednesday NBC Nightly News came across the truth once they poisoned the well, which the ruling was going to have a negative economic impact on Atlanta businesses and especially black-owned establishments.

Anchor Lester Holt said the obvious in an opening tease that there was “Unintended fallout of MLB shifting the Atlanta All-Star Game onto local businesses.”

Holt later said before correspondent Blayne Alexander’s report that the “The decision to move the All-Star Game to protest Georgia’s new voting law puts many small business owners in the face of further success.

If Holt wasn’t so busy live your new life as an openly biased journalist, perhaps he could have focused more on that. But when the left has a narrative to make, it is ready to accept collateral damage.

Alexander started with the spinoff for a black owned restaurant called Harold’s Chicken which is located next to the baseball stadium (click “expand”):

ALEXANDER: After seeing his sales slow for months by the pandemic, Shawn Cooper thought Star Weekend was his chance to catch up.

SHAWN COOPER: Just in one weekend over 20,000.

ALEXANDER: 20,000?

COOPER: Yeah.

ALEXANDER: It’s more than double what you normally see on a weekend.

COOPER: Yes. Much more than double.

ALEXANDER: His restaurant sits in the shadow of Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves and until last week, home of this year’s All-Star Game. Now he’s one of dozens of disappointed companies facing financial losses, with MLB moving the game out of Georgia, taking a stand on the state’s new voting law, and taking tens of millions of dollars in. tourism income.

COOPER: I understand why they do it, but it’s always frustrating for a small business, owner of a black owned business. It’s a little difficult trying to keep and attract customers because of the pandemic.

As many have pointed out in the days following the game’s move to Centennial State, Alexander acknowledged that “critics point to a city with a very different demographics” with “Black people understand[ing] more than half of the population of Atlanta ” while they compose “Less than ten percent” Population in the capital of Colorado.

With this segment coming after the Left achieved its goal, Alexander appealed to MSNBC host and NBC correspondent Stephanie Ruhle to admit that “The unintended consequence of taking a stand” and “draw[ing] more eyes and attention to the conversation ” about the vote was that “Businesses … desperately need more revenue” would sink further into ruin.

Alexander ended his segment with an update on the case State Representative Park Cannon (D), but not before more commiseration on how the MLB decision was “Another crushing blow” for black-owned businesses in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic “Already taken a disproportionate toll on” their:

COBB COUNTY BOARD CHAIR LISA CUPID: It’s unfortunate to know that those who might be hurt by the legislation would also continue to suffer because we don’t support our economy here.

ALEXANDER: Brian Maloof, who owns a restaurant near downtown Atlanta, is concerned about the lasting impact.

BRIAN MALOOF: It’s a trickle down effect. We’re just trying to get back to normal business sense here.

This refusal to admit that their activism has harmed black-owned businesses was made possible by advertisers such as Mutual Freedom and TD Ameritrade. Follow the links to see their contact details on the RCN Conservative Wrestling page.

HOLT: Alright, Blayne, thank you.
