As the saying goes, even the elitist, loathsome, frothy clock is right twice a day. Prominent Republican hater and actor Alec Baldwin proved it with his recent rant against cancellation culture.
Trump hating actor on May 14 tweeted “Canceling culture is like a wildfire that constantly needs fuel. Operate objectively. No prejudice. No code. Just destroy. The deserving and the undeserving.”

Destroy. The deserving and the undeserving.

The day before, he also tweeted kind of a precursor to this statement, “There seems to be a zero tolerance policy for bad behavior everywhere except where it matters most: the US Congress.” This tweet is more in line with his standard hatred of conservative politicians, but it does highlight how hypocritical and unnecessary “canceling” people tends to be.
Of course, Alec Baldwin has already called for quashing culture, especially one that could have threatened New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo. In March, he posted a 14-minute rant against the cancellation culture, before finally removing it and uploading a shorter, quieter line.
Baldwin himself has been on the verge of being canceled for years due to his horrific behavior towards anyone from journalists to airline crew members. However, it still remains of shocking relevance, even though his own wife has been the subject of controversy over her Spanish heritage.
Maybe he’s trying to get a head start before the crowds finally come looking for him. After all, it is only inevitable.
