Audio podcast version, from SoundCloud (available after show goes off the air):

Mid-January is already here and conference schedules are starting to pivot into the second half of their grinds. And in every conference, opponents know you best making the rest of the schedule the toughest of the regular season.

On Monday’s Hoopsville, Dave McHugh chats with two programs which have been reminded just how hard the conference schedule is whether home or away. Also hear from our men’s Top 25 panel with their thoughts on those ranked and unranked in the latest poll.

With Monday’s show also being Martin Luther King Day, Gary Stewart joins the program. Stewart is not only the head coach of the Stevenson men’s team, he is on a number of different panels and boards as well as being the president of the National Association of Basketball Coaches this season – the first black, Division III coach to earn that responsibility. Stewart’s unique and thought-provoking perspective is not to be missed.

Plus, we recap what Division III membership approved to change and improve at the recent NCAA Convention and of course there is plenty of other news to talk about and dissect.
