Emma Raducanu reacted to Queen Elizabeth’s death on Instagram, where she posted three emojis (sad, heart, pigeon of peace) along with the announcement of Queen’s death. “The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow,” the announcement read. Moreover, Raducanu shared a picture showing the mourners that have climbed the Victoria Memorial Statute.
According to the Daily Express, one person tweeted: “I saw them up there earlier and was horrified.” Another person wrote: “They are using a sad day to misbehave. Embarrassing. What a fine example of mourning in the UK 2022.”
Raducanu was honored by the Queen in 2022
World No. 19 Emma Raducanu’s astonishing US Open victory was recognized by the The Queen in her 2022 New Year Honours List. Raducanu, 19, became the youngest ever MBE recipient.
