Stadium Australia is big, but Millie Bright’s belief in her head coach is bigger.

Addressing the media in Sydney, Australia, on the eve of the World Cup final against Spain, the England captain shared exactly what Sarina Wiegman has meant to her and her teammates.

“The biggest thing is almost the love for football,” Bright said when asked what she admires most about her head coach. “I think… as a team, we express ourselves, and we have the confidence to do that. We don’t fear making mistakes. And to me, that is the biggest thing.

“Football is such a beautiful thing. But I think maybe when you play it a little bit hesitant, you don’t see the best in people. But for me, with Sarina coming in, we’ve had a real shift in confidence and in the playing style that we want to play.”
